You will drive the electrical design process for Umbrel Home, covering component selection, schematic capture, and PCB layout. The role requires rigorous testing, regulatory compliance, and close cooperation with manufacturers to move from prototype to mass production.
What you'll do
- Manage end-to-end circuit design including component choice and PCB layout
- Validate electrical systems through quality and thermal performance testing
- Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory compliance rules
- Collaborate with software engineers for seamless umbrelOS integration
- Lead prototyping phases to troubleshoot and refine hardware designs
- Coordinate with suppliers to facilitate transition to mass production
- Document design processes and provide lifecycle technical support
- Implement improvements for better electrical design and system efficiency
What you'll need
