As an Engineering Lead at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major systems while remaining deeply involved in coding and architecture. You will translate ambiguous product challenges into clear technical solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
This position requires strong leadership skills to mentor engineers and raise engineering standards through improved testing, security, and development practices. You will collaborate with a fast-moving international team to deliver high-quality software from idea to production.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype, review, and debug alongside the team
- Make architecture trade-offs balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Convert ambiguous problems into clear technical execution plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for complex, high-scale environments
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design through to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
