As an Engineering Lead at BJAK, you will own the technical execution for major systems and products. You will balance hands-on coding with architectural decisions, ensuring scalability and reliability while mentoring engineers across the organization.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure systems
- Contribute code, conduct reviews, and solve production issues
- Make architecture trade-offs regarding speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product needs into clear technical plans
- Improve engineering quality through better testing and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical projects
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong skills in system design for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to write code and stay hands-on
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and influence teams
- Strong English communication skills
