The Engineering Lead owns the technical execution for major products, balancing system design with hands-on coding. You will guide architecture decisions, improve engineering practices, and mentor team members in a distributed international environment.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and infrastructure solutions
- Write code, prototype features, and conduct code reviews
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Improve system design, testing, security, and observability
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale apps
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with strong coding skills
- Track record of leading major engineering projects to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex problems
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
