The Engineering Lead owns technical execution for major systems, balancing architecture decisions with hands-on coding. You will work with a distributed international team to build scalable, reliable solutions for millions of users.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, prototype, review peers, and debug production issues
- Drive architecture trade-offs regarding speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Improve engineering quality via testing, security, and observability
- Lead critical initiatives and mentor engineers across teams
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale architectures
- Strong coding ability with a willingness to remain hands-on
- Track record of leading major projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex problems
Nice to have
- Experience scaling engineering teams or practices during significant growth
- Experience operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
