As an Engineering Lead at KIRA, you will own the technical design and execution for major products used by millions. You will balance hands-on coding with architectural decisions, driving initiatives from concept to production while raising engineering standards across backend, frontend, and infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and systems
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, and database architectures
- Write code, prototype, review, and debug alongside the team
- Drive architecture trade-offs regarding speed, cost, and reliability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical plans
- Mentor engineers and lead critical technical initiatives
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience with production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, or distributed systems
- Strong system design skills for high-scale applications
- Willingness to remain hands-on with coding tasks
- Track record of leading projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex problems
Nice to have
- Experience scaling teams or systems during significant growth
- Background operating across multiple products or countries
