The Engineering Lead will own technical execution for major products, balancing system design with hands-on development. You will drive architecture decisions, solve complex production issues, and raise engineering standards across distributed teams.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, prototype features, review pull requests, and debug production issues
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and cost
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions
- Improve engineering quality via better testing, security, and observability practices
- Lead critical technical projects and mentor engineers across different teams
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong skills in system design and architecture for high-scale environments
- Proven ability to code effectively and remain hands-on with implementation
- Track record of leading major engineering projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex production problems
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Experience scaling engineering teams or systems during significant growth phases
- Background operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
