Doit is reinventing personal finance through AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and investing. As the company scales its mobile-first insurance platform and other products, it needs technical leaders to solve complex engineering challenges.
The Engineering Lead owns technical execution for major systems, balancing speed, scalability, and reliability. You will design architectures, write code, and guide the team from concept to production while raising overall engineering standards.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Build alongside the team through coding, prototyping, and debugging
- Drive architecture decisions balancing speed, cost, and maintainability
- Translate ambiguous product problems into clear technical solutions
- Improve system quality via testing, security, and observability practices
- Lead critical technical initiatives and mentor engineers across teams
What you'll need
- 7+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale environments
- Strong coding ability with a willingness to remain hands-on
- Track record of leading major engineering projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve production problems
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
Nice to have
- Experience scaling engineering teams or systems during significant growth
- Experience operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
