Doit is reinventing personal finance through accessible, AI-powered tools for spending, saving, and investing. As an Engineering Lead, you will drive technical direction for major systems while remaining hands-on with code and architecture.
You will work with a global team to scale platforms that serve millions of users, focusing on reliability, scalability, and engineering excellence in a distributed environment.
What you'll do
- Own technical design and execution for major products and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable backend, frontend, API, database, and infrastructure systems
- Write code, prototype, review peers, and debug production issues alongside the team
- Make architecture decisions balancing speed, scalability, reliability, and cost
- Translate ambiguous product requirements into clear technical solutions
- Improve engineering quality via better testing, security, and observability practices
- Mentor engineers and lead technically critical initiatives across teams
What you'll need
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
- Deep expertise in backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design skills for complex or high-scale architectures
- Proven ability to remain hands-on with coding and technical implementation
- Track record of leading major engineering projects from design to production
- Ability to make sound technical trade-offs and solve complex production problems
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration

- Experience scaling engineering teams or systems during significant growth
- Background operating across multiple products, markets, or countries
