You will own the AI systems responsible for sourcing cases and identifying owed claims for consumers. This position requires building the engineering team from the ground up, combining fullstack and machine learning expertise to scale a verticalized claims factory.
The role demands an analytical leader who can take ideas from prototype to production, ensuring agent behavior is measurable and reliable. You will drive rapid experimentation while maintaining high ethical standards and privacy principles in a regulated industry context.
What you'll do
- Own agent systems that source and assemble cases with human-in-the-loop review
- Build systems matching people to claims using permissioned sources and privacy principles
- Create evaluation infrastructure to keep agent behavior measurable and reliable
- Manage cost and performance of AI systems at scale as a primary engineering target
- Contribute to shared platform foundations including internal tooling and agent harnesses
- Recruit, vet, and grow fullstack and ML engineers on the team
What you'll need
- Staff-level technical experience building and shipping production software
- Track record of owning end-to-end product outcomes, not just code
- Strong product instincts with ability to make autonomous informed decisions
- Experience in early-stage startups, specifically Series A or earlier
- Ready to hire and lead a team from day one
- Proficiency in Python, Go, modern LLM agent tooling, and AWS
Nice to have
- Experience in regulated industries like legal, healthcare, or finance
- Background taking LLM agent systems to production with human-in-the-loop review
- Comfort owning both the ML layer and the surrounding product surface
