You will lead the engineering organization powering Ema’s Voice AI Employees, Agent QA, and workforce optimization capabilities. This role requires balancing roadmap priorities across Voice, BPO operations, and Workforce Management while ensuring cohesive product evolution.
What you'll do
- Architect multi-tenant systems with strict data residency and compliance
- Design high-throughput ingestion for voice data and operational telemetry
- Recruit and develop senior engineers across voice, backend, and data teams
- Own end-to-end engineering for AgentQA and real-time voice pipelines
- Build workforce management capabilities using operations research techniques
- Drive cross-functional alignment with Product and ML/AI teams
What you'll need
- 12+ years software engineering experience with 4+ years leading teams
- Deep expertise in building real-time, data-intensive systems
- Strong foundation in relational, time-series, and columnar data stores
- Experience building scalable multi-tenant SaaS platforms with geo-distribution
- Proficiency with SOLID principles, clean architecture, and design patterns
- Track record of handling high-volume load via event-driven architectures
- Proven ability to hire and retain high-caliber engineers in competitive markets
Nice to have
- Experience with voice/telephony systems like WebRTC or SIP
- Background in operations research, scheduling, or optimization algorithms
- Experience building analytics platforms or real-time dashboards
- Familiarity with auto-learning systems and automated retraining pipelines
- Knowledge of WFM or contact center operations and staffing models
