You will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling products used by millions across Southeast Asia. As a technical leader, you will balance people management with hands-on architectural decisions, ensuring the team ships quality software quickly.
The role requires close collaboration with product, design, and other engineering teams to turn ambiguous problems into clear technical execution. You will set engineering standards, coach developers, and own production outcomes while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack development
- Own engineering delivery for major product areas ensuring speed and reliability
- Drive technical architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, and security
- Coach engineers through feedback, performance management, and clear expectations
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation for scale
- Monitor systems and resolve production incidents to prevent recurrence
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs balancing speed and scale
- Track record of taking products from idea through launch to production
- Strong people leadership skills for coaching and team building
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clear outcomes
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
