You will lead the engineering team responsible for the software layer connecting energy devices like EVs and heat pumps. This role requires partnering with product leadership to define roadmaps, setting high standards for delivery, and integrating AI tools into daily workflows.
As part of the engineering leadership team, you will collaborate with the CTO on strategy while coaching your direct reports. The position focuses on people leadership, strategic decision-making, and fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement within a remote-first environment.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end technical vision and partner with product on roadmap
- Define quality standards and ensure the team meets them consistently
- Collaborate with the CTO on strategy and business area development
- Lead AI adoption to improve how the team builds and operates
- Hire, coach, and grow engineers to reach their full potential
- Delegate meaningful ownership rather than just assigning tasks
- Provide direct feedback and build trust across engineering and product
What you'll need
- At least three years of experience managing engineering teams
- Proven track record leading remote and distributed teams
- Experience building AI products that contributed to team success
- Ability to shape decisions at the engineering leadership level
- Strong communication skills and ability to hold high standards
- Genuine interest in the energy transition and climate tech
- Willingness to challenge plans and stakeholders constructively

- Experience working across different company stages or environments
- Desire to remain hands-on as a player-coach is welcome
