Yendo uses AI to provide high-limit credit cards to non-prime borrowers, helping them build credit and save on interest. You will manage the engineering team behind the company's highest-traffic application surface, acting as a player-coach who balances people leadership with technical direction.
What you'll do
- Coach backend engineers on career growth and performance
- Define technical architecture and quality standards
- Conduct design and code reviews for critical systems
- Partner with product and design to ship features
- Recruit top engineering talent and improve practices
What you'll need
- 8+ years of engineering experience with deep systems thinking
- 1+ year of formal engineering management experience
- Fluency in Go or another statically typed language like Java
- Ability to stay hands-on with code and architecture
- Passion for financial inclusion and mobility
Nice to have
- Experience with Go in fintech or payments
- Knowledge of Postgres, Redis, and AWS
- Background in early-stage startups
