You will manage, coach, and develop a team of engineers while partnering with product management to deliver high-quality roadmaps. This position requires balancing technical judgment with people leadership to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
What you'll do
- Manage and coach engineers through 1:1s and career planning
- Partner with product teams to prioritize and deliver roadmaps
- Guide technical decisions on architecture and code quality
- Foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Own hiring, onboarding, and staffing plans with recruiting
- Remove blockers and communicate status to stakeholders
- Participate in incident response and post-incident reviews
What you'll need
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 3+ years in a formal people-management role
- Experience leading teams through full SDLC
- Strong technical background for architecture guidance
- Proven ability to manage performance and give feedback
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to balance priorities in fast-paced environments
Nice to have
- Experience managing distributed or remote teams
- Background in scaling teams through growth phases
- Domain knowledge in data, platform, or product engineering
- Experience designing interview processes with recruiting
- Prior experience as an engineer before management
