Lead the engineering efforts behind Payer Intelligence, a platform that automates prior authorization from intake to medical necessity determination. You will manage a team spanning backend, AI/ML, and frontend disciplines while driving technical direction and people development.
What you'll do
- Manage engineers across backend, AI/ML, and frontend disciplines
- Drive performance cycles including goal-setting and reviews
- Partner with recruiting to hire top engineering talent
- Set technical direction for Go, Python, and Vue 3 stacks
- Own reliability and cost of AI/ML pipelines and models
- Champion evaluation practices like golden datasets and drift monitoring
- Execute roadmap in partnership with Product and Clinical teams
- Translate clinical requirements into technical scope and feasibility
What you'll need
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- 2+ years in engineering management or team lead roles
- Hands-on depth in Go, Python, or TypeScript
- Experience building or leading AI-powered products
- Track record in hiring and full-cycle technical interviews
- Experience shipping distributed services with Kubernetes and CI/CD
- Comfort with relational data modeling and SQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare or regulated industries
- Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, or healthcare data standards
- Hands-on experience with Azure and Terraform
- Experience with gRPC and protobuf architectures
- Background in document AI, OCR, or PDF parsing
- Vue 3 experience or similar frontend framework knowledge
