Chainguard secures the software supply chain by providing hardened open source builds. This role leads a team developing tools like Guardener and Chainguard Agent Skills, sitting at the intersection of security and AI.
You will own the product lifecycle from roadmap to implementation while remaining hands-on with code. The team focuses on shipping iterative improvements for developer tooling and cloud infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Own product portfolio end-to-end from roadmap to rollout
- Hire, lead, and grow a small team of engineers
- Review designs and PRs to stay technically hands-on
- Partner with Product to prioritize tradeoffs and ship iteratively
- Navigate ambiguous problems and define clear paths forward
- Ensure quality and reliability based on customer feedback
What you'll need
- At least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams
- Proven track record of shipping products and owning results
- Strong technical background able to read code and review architecture
- Proficiency in Go or readiness to learn it quickly
- Experience with CI/CD systems, containers, and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with AI tooling and applying it to customer problems
- Comfort with autonomy and bias for action in ambiguous settings
