You will guide a group of Senior and Staff engineers to deliver user-facing AI capabilities like transcript summarization and search relevance. Simultaneously, you will architect foundational platforms including feature stores and AI observability tools to ensure safe, scalable model deployment.
What you'll do
- Provide technical leadership for applied product capabilities and foundational ML platforms
- Guide Senior and Staff engineers to deliver user-facing AI features rapidly
- Architect core infrastructure such as feature stores and AI observability platforms
- Balance execution speed with rigorous clinical safety standards
- Foster a culture of high talent density and technological synergy
What you'll need
- 8+ years in software engineering and machine learning
- 5+ years designing and scaling distributed backend systems in cloud environments
- 3+ years of direct engineering management experience with senior teams
- 3+ years leading core ML infrastructure or MLOps pipelines
- 2+ years developing production-grade applied AI features or LLM integrations
- Track record of managing both product features and backend platform work
Nice to have
- Experience shipping AI systems in regulated industries like HealthTech
- Knowledge of privacy and compliance standards such as HIPAA
- Expertise in designing evaluation frameworks for LLMs to mitigate bias
- Philosophy on using AI tools to enhance engineering efficiency
- Experience balancing short-term delivery with long-term platform investments
