You will manage a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling products used by millions across Southeast Asia. This position requires balancing technical depth with people leadership, ensuring rapid delivery without compromising system reliability or code quality.
As a hands-on leader, you will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and design teams to solve ambiguous problems. The goal is to foster a culture of ownership and technical excellence while delivering tangible customer outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery for major product areas
- Drive technical architecture and engineering decisions
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and security
- Conduct architecture reviews and debug critical issues
- Coach engineers and manage team performance
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production experience
- Experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs
- Track record of shipping products from idea to production
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and fast priorities
- Strong English communication skills
