As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a high-performing group building an AI-native email app and other products used by millions across Southeast Asia and beyond. You will balance technical architecture decisions with people management to ensure rapid, reliable delivery.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery ensuring speed without compromising quality
- Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams on technical execution
- Drive architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debugging sessions
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents effectively
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs for scalability
- Track record of taking products from idea to production launch
- Comfortable reviewing designs and debugging complex issues
- Strong people leadership and coaching abilities
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Ability to work fast with ambiguity and establish priorities
- Strong ownership mentality for team performance and delivery
