Lead a high-performing engineering team building and scaling an AI-native email app used by millions. You will balance technical architecture decisions with people leadership to ensure rapid, reliable product delivery.
This position requires staying close to the code through reviews and debugging while driving engineering standards. You will collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to turn ambiguous problems into clear technical execution.
What you'll do
- Manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack development
- Ensure rapid shipping without compromising reliability or quality
- Drive architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and security
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debugging
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve tooling and automation for scale
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production experience
- Experience leading software engineers and owning delivery
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to balance speed, scalability, and maintainability
- Track record of taking products from idea to production
- Comfortable challenging engineering decisions and debugging issues
- Strong people leadership and coaching abilities
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Ability to work fast with ambiguity and establish priorities
- Strong ownership mentality for team performance
