BJAK is expanding its mission beyond insurance to help users manage spending, saving, and investing. This role leads a high-performing engineering group responsible for shipping scalable products used by millions across Southeast Asia.
You will balance technical depth with people leadership, driving architecture decisions while ensuring the team delivers reliable software quickly. The position requires close collaboration with product, design, and AI teams in a fully remote, global environment.
What you'll do
- Lead engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack disciplines
- Drive technical architecture for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Ensure rapid delivery without compromising reliability or quality
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Resolve production incidents and identify root causes
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Collaborate with product and AI teams on technical execution
What you'll need
- Strong background in building and shipping production systems
- Experience managing software engineers and owning delivery
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs for scale
- Track record of taking products from idea to production
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
- Comfortable debugging complex issues and reviewing designs
