You will manage a high-performing engineering team responsible for scaling products used by millions across Southeast Asia. This position requires balancing technical depth with people leadership, ensuring rapid delivery without compromising system reliability or code quality.
The role focuses on turning ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You will work closely with product, design, and AI teams to drive engineering standards and production outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery for major product areas
- Drive technical architecture and engineering decisions
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and security
- Conduct architecture reviews and debug critical issues
- Coach engineers and manage team performance
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor systems and resolve production incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production experience
- Experience leading or managing software engineers
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs
- Track record of shipping products from idea to production
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and fast-paced environments
- Strong English communication skills
