You will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling products used by millions across Southeast Asia. This position requires balancing technical depth with people leadership, ensuring rapid delivery without compromising system reliability or code quality.
The role focuses on turning ambiguous product problems into clear technical execution while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You will work closely with product, design, and AI teams to drive outcomes from idea to production.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery for major product areas
- Drive technical architecture and engineering decisions
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and security
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor systems and resolve production incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production experience
- Experience leading or managing software engineers
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architecture and technical trade-offs
- Track record of taking products from idea to launch
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clear outcomes
- Strong English communication skills
