Lead a high-leverage team of AI engineers and researchers building systems for AI-enabled products and model inference offerings. This hybrid people and technical leadership role involves managing day-to-day operations while setting technical direction and driving project delivery.
What you'll do
- Manage, coach, and grow a team of AI/ML engineers and researchers
- Own delivery for AI-enabling projects across the product portfolio
- Co-own roadmap and operations of the inference offering
- Partner with research scientists to move models into production
- Set engineering standards for code quality and incident response
- Collaborate with Product and Infrastructure teams to prioritize work
- Report on team progress and risks to engineering leadership
What you'll need
- 7+ years in technical leadership or engineering management
- Strong prior track record as hands-on engineer or researcher
- Experience building AI/ML platform or inference infrastructure
- Working knowledge of AI/ML lifecycle and production deployment
- Technical fluency in model inference and serving infrastructure
- Ability to manage both researchers and engineers effectively
- Strong judgment on scoping ambiguous research-adjacent projects
