Join Cohere as an Engineering Manager for the Forward Deployed Engineering team. You will guide a group of engineers building agentic solutions with the North platform, primarily in on-premises environments for sectors like finance and healthcare.
This role requires a leader who is technically sharp and focused on impact. You will balance team management with direct contribution to solving complex integration problems for enterprise customers.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor Forward Deployed Engineers building agentic solutions
- Own customer success from technical implementation through final delivery
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Sales on AI delivery strategies
- Build relationships with technical stakeholders at client organizations
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in agent development
- Define processes to scale agent deployment across multiple client environments
What you'll need
- At least 8 years of experience in software engineering
- Minimum 2 years managing software engineering teams
- Experience managing engineers in fast-paced, high-growth settings
- Hands-on experience deploying enterprise software at scale
- Focus on building agentic applications
- High agency and ability to solve problems without waiting for permission
- Excellent English communication skills for technical and business audiences

- Experience with AI and ML infrastructure
