You will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling products used by millions across Southeast Asia. This role requires balancing technical depth with people leadership, ensuring the team ships quality software quickly while maintaining system reliability.
As a hands-on leader, you will drive architecture decisions, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product and design teams to turn ambiguous problems into clear technical execution. You are expected to stay close to the code through reviews and debugging while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery ensuring speed without compromising quality
- Drive technical architecture for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debugging sessions
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents effectively
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs for scalability
- Track record of taking products from idea to production launch
- Strong people leadership and coaching abilities
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clear outcomes
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration
