Join the Ingest team at Grafana Labs to bridge the gap between wanting observability and having it. You will manage engineers working on Fleet Management, the Kubernetes Monitoring Helm Chart, and the Instrumentation Hub. These tools enable seamless instrumentation and central control for thousands of collectors globally.
What you'll do
- Manage and develop a distributed team of backend and frontend engineers
- Provide regular feedback and support career growth through conversations
- Collaborate with go-to-market teams to ensure customer success
- Align product features with engineering leadership for seamless user experience
- Guide projects from ideation to post-launch delivery
- Foster a psychologically safe environment for experimentation and learning
- Partner with other functions to solve customer problems across boundaries
What you'll need
- Experience managing autonomous engineering teams in technical or product areas
- Strong understanding of distributed systems principles like scalability
- Comfortable collaborating across time zones in a fully remote setting
- Ability to manage complexity and align stakeholders effectively
- Customer-focused mindset grounding decisions in user needs
- Curiosity and comfort with AI-assisted development tools
- Knowledge of Observability or central control planes is a strong advantage
