Lead a group of product engineers creating the core developer experience for Render, a modern cloud platform for AI-native and full-stack applications. You will blend technical leadership with product thinking to translate user needs into scalable systems.
Partner closely with product managers and designers to ensure the team ships meaningful improvements quickly. Your focus will be on guiding technical direction, developing engineers, and maintaining high standards for reliability and quality.
What you'll do
- Mentor and grow product engineers through feedback and technical guidance
- Drive product initiatives from ideation to launch with high quality
- Partner with Product and Design to translate needs into technical solutions
- Guide system design decisions and navigate architectural tradeoffs
- Foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
- Break down complex problems into incremental milestones for quick value
- Ensure team understands developer experience and customer impact
What you'll need
- At least 8 years shipping products with downstream business impact
- Minimum 2 years managing people, including hiring and performance
- Strong technical background in system design and architecture
- Product-oriented mindset for translating goals into roadmaps
- Ability to balance urgency with thoughtful execution
- Excellent communication skills across engineering, product, and design
- Strong sense of ownership for team outcomes and system health
Nice to have
- Experience building developer platforms or DevTools
- Background in highly scalable distributed systems
- Track record of improving engineering velocity via tooling
- Experience building products for technical users
- Collaboration with marketing and support to drive adoption
