You will lead the engineering efforts for RC Capital, a zero-to-one initiative within RevenueCat's monetization platform. The team builds infrastructure for Early Payouts, including underwriting, money movement, reconciliation, and fraud detection. This role requires blending technical leadership with deep exposure to fintech and regulated financial products.
What you'll do
- Hire, support, and coach a distributed engineering team to deliver consistent value
- Collaborate with product and design to set team direction and long-term planning
- Execute roadmaps iteratively while establishing transparent delivery processes
- Mentor engineers on career development and guide technical decision-making
- Partner with other managers to foster ownership, belonging, and inclusivity
- Balance feature shipping with technical debt reduction and system improvements
What you'll need
- At least six years of experience as a software engineer
- Three or more years managing software engineering teams
- Background in fintech, financial services, or regulated risk-sensitive domains
- Experience building prioritized roadmaps cross-functionally
- Ability to perform code reviews and investigate bugs when needed
- Comfortable writing SQL queries for data analysis and inconsistency checks
- Track record of coaching engineers at various career levels
