You will lead a newly structured engineering team dedicated to evolving Vanta’s reporting platform. The focus is on transforming dashboards into a scalable, AI-driven experience that helps customers visualize and operationalize their security programs.
This position sits at the intersection of data products and enterprise scalability. You will guide technical execution and cross-functional alignment for critical initiatives in historical analytics, AI-assisted insights, and certified data infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Hire, coach, and grow a high-performing engineering team
- Deliver multi-quarter roadmaps for reporting infrastructure and AI insights
- Define long-term vision and architecture for data-driven product experiences
- Balance near-term customer impact with long-term platform investments
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Platform stakeholders on strategy
What you'll need
- At least 4 years of full-time engineering management experience
- Proven track record managing teams of 8 to 12 or more engineers
- Experience building reporting or data visualization products
- Strong technical depth, ideally as a former senior or staff engineer
- Ability to guide data infrastructure and product architecture decisions
- Experience setting product and technical strategy with cross-functional partners
- Willingness to use AI responsibly to improve efficiency and impact
