Doit is reinventing personal finance with AI-driven tools for spending, saving, and traveling. The company built the leading mobile-first insurance platform in Southeast Asia and now seeks an Engineering Manager to scale its Travel FX app.
You will lead a high-performing team of frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers. The role balances technical architecture decisions with people leadership, ensuring rapid delivery of reliable products that serve millions of users across the region.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery while maintaining reliability and quality
- Collaborate with product, design, and AI teams on execution
- Drive technical architecture for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and security
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debugging
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production experience
- Experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to balance speed, scalability, and maintainability
- Track record of taking products from idea to production
- Comfortable challenging engineering decisions and debugging issues
- Strong people leadership and coaching abilities
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Ability to work with ambiguity and drive clear outcomes
- Strong ownership mentality for delivery and reliability
- Strong English communication skills
