BJAK seeks an Engineering Manager to lead a high-performing team developing scalable financial applications. You will drive engineering decisions, ensure code quality, and manage delivery across frontend, backend, and full-stack domains.
The position requires balancing technical depth with people leadership. You will collaborate with product and design teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical execution while maintaining high standards for reliability and speed.
What you'll do
- Lead engineers across frontend, backend, and full-stack development
- Own engineering delivery ensuring speed without compromising quality
- Drive technical architecture for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debugging sessions
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents effectively
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineers
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs for scalability
- Track record of taking products from idea to production launch
- Strong people leadership and coaching abilities
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clear outcomes
- Strong English communication skills
