You will lead the Treasury engineering function, delivering world-class financial infrastructure for nonprofit users. This position requires balancing people management with technical contribution, including coding, PR reviews, and architectural decisions.
Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will drive the development of features like same-day ACH transfers and card issuing systems. Your goal is to build a scalable engineering culture that prioritizes security, reliability, and innovation in fintech.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a team of full-stack engineers building wallet and payment features
- Define technical direction for Treasury engineering and align with company goals
- Drive development of ACH transfer tools, card issuing, and accounting integrations
- Maintain financial infrastructure optimized for security, reliability, and growth
- Remain hands-on by shipping code, reviewing PRs, and prototyping solutions
- Improve internal engineering workflows and champion high code quality standards
- Evaluate AI and machine learning tools to innovate financial product development
What you'll need
- 7+ years of full-stack development experience with modern web technologies
- Expertise in React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and PHP/Laravel
- 2+ years of experience managing a team of five or more engineers
- Proven track record in hiring and developing remote engineering teams
- Deep understanding of financial compliance, security, and data integrity
- Experience building scalable fintech systems, including payments or ACH
- Strong execution mindset with a focus on delivering user impact

- Experience in a product-led growth environment
- Background in accounting integrations or card issuing systems
