You will manage a high-performing engineering team responsible for frontend, backend, and full-stack development. This position requires balancing technical excellence with rapid delivery, ensuring systems scale reliably while meeting business outcomes.
The ideal candidate stays close to the code through reviews and debugging while coaching engineers. You will drive architecture decisions and improve processes to help the team operate effectively at scale in a remote, global environment.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage frontend, backend, and full-stack engineers
- Own engineering delivery ensuring speed without compromising quality
- Collaborate with product and design to define technical execution
- Drive architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, and security
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debugging
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve tooling and automation to increase team velocity
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production experience
- Experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs for scalability
- Track record of taking products from idea to production launch
- Comfortable reviewing designs and debugging complex issues
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills
- Product sense connecting engineering to business outcomes
- Ability to work fast with ambiguity and clear priorities
- Strong ownership mentality for delivery and reliability
