You will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling products used by millions of users. This position requires a strong technical leader who can drive products from idea to production while maintaining high engineering standards.
The role balances people management with hands-on technical involvement, including architecture reviews and code quality oversight. You will collaborate with product, design, and AI teams to solve ambiguous problems and deliver reliable customer outcomes.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack development.
- Own engineering delivery for major product areas ensuring speed and reliability.
- Drive technical architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Set engineering standards for code quality, testing, security, and observability.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debug critical issues.
- Coach engineers through feedback, performance management, and clear expectations.
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation for scale.
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents to prevent recurrence.
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience.
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineers.
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs balancing speed and scalability.
- Track record of taking products from idea through launch to production.
- Comfortable reviewing technical designs and debugging complex issues.
- Strong people leadership skills for coaching and building high-performing teams.
- Strong product sense connecting engineering decisions to business outcomes.
- Ability to work fast with ambiguity and establish clear priorities.
- Strong ownership mentality for delivery and production stability.
