You will lead a high-performing engineering team responsible for building and scaling products within BJAK's wealth management platform. This position requires balancing technical depth with people leadership to ensure rapid, reliable delivery of customer-facing features.
The role demands close collaboration with product, design, and AI teams to translate ambiguous problems into clear technical execution. You will set engineering standards, drive architecture decisions, and foster a culture of ownership and continuous improvement across frontend, backend, and full-stack development.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack disciplines.
- Own engineering delivery for major product areas while ensuring reliability.
- Drive technical architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, and security.
- Coach engineers through feedback, performance management, and clear expectations.
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation for scale.
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents to prevent recurrence.
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience.
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams.
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure.
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs balancing speed and scale.
- Track record of taking products from idea through launch to production.
- Strong people leadership skills for coaching and team building.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and driving clear outcomes.
- Strong English communication skills for global collaboration.
