This position requires a hands-on leader who stays close to the code while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement. You will drive engineering standards and mentor engineers in a fully remote, global environment.
What you'll do
- Lead and manage engineers across frontend, backend, and full stack development
- Own engineering delivery ensuring speed without compromising reliability
- Drive technical architecture decisions for APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Set standards for code quality, testing, observability, and security
- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and debug critical issues
- Coach engineers through feedback and performance management
- Improve engineering processes, tooling, and automation for scale
- Monitor production systems and resolve incidents to prevent recurrence
What you'll need
- Strong software engineering background with production system experience
- Proven experience leading or managing software engineering teams
- Technical depth in backend, frontend, APIs, or cloud infrastructure
- Ability to make sound architectural trade-offs balancing speed and scale
- Track record of taking products from idea to launch and production
- Comfortable reviewing designs and debugging complex production issues
- Strong people leadership skills for coaching and team building
- Product sense to connect engineering work to business outcomes
- Ability to work effectively with ambiguity and establish priorities
- Strong ownership mentality for delivery and problem resolution
