You will manage a team focused on finding pages, forms, API endpoints, and authentication surfaces within customer applications. The role requires setting technical direction for discovery strategies while ensuring high coverage and reliability for downstream penetration testing.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a team specializing in web app discovery and crawling
- Define technical standards and quality expectations for deliverables
- Drive hiring and scale the engineering organization
- Own strategy for discovering web application surfaces and endpoints
- Guide development of capabilities for complex modern web apps
- Partner with Product teams to translate gaps into roadmap items
- Collaborate with pen testing teams to close feedback loops
What you'll need
- 3-5+ years leading engineering or offensive security teams
- Experience managing groups of 4-8+ engineers
- Solid understanding of modern web app structures and APIs
- Familiarity with crawling, spidering, and content discovery
- Strong grasp of HTTP fundamentals and state management
- Proficiency in Python or similar languages
- Ability to balance hands-on tech work with people management
Nice to have
- Experience with Playwright, Puppeteer, or Selenium
- Familiarity with web application pentesting workflows
- Knowledge of Postgres and Neo4j databases
- Offensive security certifications like OSCP or OSWE
