Lead the Enterprise Solutions Engineering team at Ashby, guiding technical evaluations for complex, high-value deals. You will hire and coach Solutions Engineers, operationalize best practices for POCs and RFPs, and translate field insights into product improvements. This role bridges technical expertise, sales strategy, and product development to drive revenue and customer success.
What you'll do
- Hire, onboard, and develop high-performing Solutions Engineers
- Coach team on discovery, POC execution, and technical storytelling
- Partner with Sales Leadership to align on pipeline and priorities
- Oversee technical tracks in demos, security reviews, and RFPs
- Refine enterprise SE motion including demo workflows and trial structures
- Build enablement resources like competitive playbooks and integration guides
- Translate field patterns into product feedback and roadmap insights
- Drive strategic initiatives from diagnosis to implementation
What you'll need
- Experience managing or mentoring Solutions Engineers in enterprise SaaS
- Proven track record in hiring and developing technical talent
- Strong strategic thinking regarding process and operational excellence
- Ability to partner with Sales, CS, Product, and Implementation teams
- Strong business and technical acumen for enterprise outcomes
- Clear communication skills for simplifying complex concepts
- Passion for building scalable frameworks and libraries
- Empathy for enterprise Talent teams and their challenges
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems or TA workflows
- Experience building POC frameworks or value engineering models
- Background leading cross-functional projects in scaling organizations
- Prior experience as a technical IC like SE or Solutions Architect
