Join Horizon3 as a Federal Platform Engineer to lead the deployment and operation of product infrastructure across FedRAMP and classified environments. You will build and maintain secure AWS platforms, enabling engineering teams to deploy with confidence through robust automation and tooling.
What you'll do
- Implement scalable, secure cloud-native platforms on AWS for core applications.
- Design and deploy improvements to development and deployment processes.
- Create tooling to collect telemetry data on platform effectiveness.
- Foster a documentation culture using Confluence and documentation as code.
- Develop Terraform modules and Crossplane compositions for engineering use.
- Evaluate new technologies for automation and infrastructure provisioning.
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Platform Engineering.
- US Citizenship is mandatory for this role.
- Must possess or be able to obtain Top Secret security clearance.
- Strong proficiency with GoLang programming language.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Crossplane.
- Deep knowledge of AWS core services and Kubernetes distributions.
Nice to have
- Experience with FedRAMP, CC SRG, or NIST 800-53 standards.
- Familiarity with Authority to Operate (ATO) processes.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or related STEM field.
- Proficiency in Python programming language.
