Join the FinOps team to help technology and product teams understand their cloud spending and maximize value. You will partner across engineering, finance, and architecture to transform complex usage data into practical outcomes.
The role involves identifying optimization opportunities, automating analysis, and supporting the adoption of proactive workload optimization and AI cost management.
What you'll do
- Analyze cloud and Kubernetes usage to find idle capacity and cost anomalies
- Partner with engineering teams to evaluate and implement optimization recommendations
- Build scripts and API integrations to automate data analysis workflows
- Develop dashboards and forecasts to track spending trends and plan usage
- Support commitment planning and savings programs to improve cost efficiency
- Expand FinOps practices through documentation, education, and tooling
What you'll need
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
- Experience optimizing cloud infrastructure or Kubernetes-based workloads
- Knowledge of cloud billing, cost allocation, and forecasting concepts
- Ability to use Python or similar languages for automation and API calls
- Strong communication skills for technical and financial audiences
- Experience using data to identify trends and create actionable recommendations
Nice to have
- Experience with FinOps or cloud financial management tools like Cloudability
- Familiarity with Kubernetes cost allocation and workload rightsizing
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or Datadog
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and Terraform
- Exposure to unit economics or AI cost governance
