As a Forward Deployed Engineer at BLP, you will work directly within customer environments to transform complex business problems into working production systems in days rather than months. You will own the entire technical lifecycle, from architecture and integrations to agent logic and deployment, collaborating closely with senior consultants and client teams.
This role requires a builder who thrives on speed and ambiguity, using modern AI tooling to deliver measurable productivity gains for Fortune 500 companies. You will bridge the gap between technical implementation and business needs, ensuring reliable and scalable autonomous operations.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with end-users and client engineers to identify core workflow issues
- Design and ship technical solutions including architecture and data models quickly
- Iterate rapidly based on real-time feedback and demo early versions often
- Make real-time trade-offs between speed, quality, and cost during development
- Manage observability and evaluations to ensure system reliability in production
- Coordinate with client engineering and security teams on API access and deployment
- Develop reusable components and patterns to accelerate future engagements
What you'll need
- Proven experience shipping systems from zero to production and maintaining them
- Proficiency with modern AI tools like LLM APIs, agent frameworks, and evals
- Strong backend skills in TypeScript, including APIs, auth, and queues
- Daily use of AI coding assistants such as Claude Code or Cursor
- Strong customer-facing skills with the ability to ask sharp questions
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous domains and delivering prototypes fast
- Fluency in English is required
- Experience automating ERP processes (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle) or consulting background
