  • AI and data focus

Join Higharc as a founding member of the Forward Deployed team, working alongside major homebuilders to transform their plan libraries. You will turn scattered, unstructured drawing sets into queryable data, enabling natural-language search and geometric similarity scoring.

This position requires building against real, messy data in front of customers. You will own the pipeline from raw ingestion to structured output, shipping working capabilities directly to users rather than handing off specifications.

What you'll do

  • Embed with client teams to profile assets and reverse-engineer drawing set variations
  • Build searchable plan libraries, analytics dashboards, and agent-enabled search
  • Tune Autotranslate AI to categorize and translate floorplans into structured data
  • Write ETL pipelines and build against internal APIs to ship direct user value
  • Develop geometric similarity scoring to identify duplicate or forked plans
  • Meet delivery milestones for coverage, completeness, and QA error thresholds
  • Quantify results such as redundancy and consolidation candidates for stakeholders
  • Convert one-off scripts into reusable tooling for future client engagements

What you'll need

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in customer-facing or deployed settings
  • Strong data fluency with SQL, API scripting, and notebook interrogation
  • Experience prototyping quickly with tools like Cursor, Replit, or V0.dev
  • Track record of building structured data models and classification schemes
  • Judgment on data quality accuracy requirements and associated costs
  • Excellent communication skills for executive stakeholders with limited time
  • Willingness to travel to client sites and company events up to 30% of the time

Nice to have

  • Background in residential construction, architecture, or AEC technology
  • Experience with RAG systems, LLM-powered analytics, or agent-based search
  • Exposure to geometric data, CAD/BIM, or computer vision on drawings
  • Experience with large-scale enterprise data migrations or ingestion programs
  • History of building a function from zero as a first hire in a new team

How you'll work

What you get

  • Competitive salary with significant equity
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Flexible PTO and meaningful parental leave
  • Short and long-term disability plans
  • 401K retirement plan
  • Home office stipend
