You will split your time between direct customer engagement and software development. Half your week focuses on onboarding, debugging, and supporting enterprise implementations, while the other half is dedicated to shipping features, automating workflows, and improving the platform. Your insights from customer interactions will directly drive product improvements.
What you'll do
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success on technical engagements and onboarding
- Debug customer issues across APIs, integrations, and production systems
- Design and build product features and internal tooling to improve velocity
- Own engineering projects from requirements gathering through deployment
- Translate complex customer workflows into actionable product improvements
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver customer outcomes
- Enhance APIs, integrations, and developer experience
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for key enterprise customers
What you'll need
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript (Node.js preferred)
- Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL
- Strong debugging and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable explaining technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Ownership mindset with ability to take projects from idea to production
- Adaptable to ambiguity and willing to wear multiple hats
Nice to have
- Experience building APIs or backend services
- Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Redis, or cloud infrastructure
- Background in SaaS integrations or enterprise customer support
- Experience in fintech, accounting, payments, or tax technology
- Previous work in an early-stage startup environment
