As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will be the primary technical contact for new customers, guiding their computer vision projects from validation to live production. You will work directly within client environments to configure edge devices, build data pipelines, and ensure models perform reliably in real-world conditions.
This role requires bridging the gap between customer needs and technical reality, providing critical feedback to product teams while establishing robust deployment patterns. After stabilizing the initial implementation, you will hand off operations to internal teams for scaling.

- Configure edge hardware and optimize models for physical environments
- Embed with customer engineering teams for 4–12 week engagements
- Troubleshoot real-world issues like lighting variability and latency
- Document architecture and train customer staff for independent operation
- Identify technical risks and propose alternative solutions early
- Create reusable templates to standardize future deployment processes
What you'll need
- Experience deploying technology in physical-world settings
- Strong proficiency in Python and systems-level tools
- Hands-on experience putting ML or CV models into production
- Familiarity with edge hardware like NVIDIA Jetson or industrial cameras

- Strong interpersonal skills for building trust with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness to travel approximately 40–50% of the time
Nice to have
