Join SpaceXSI to build Super Intelligence technologies that help humanity understand the universe. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will work directly with customers to identify bottlenecks, design AI-native solutions, and deploy production agents using Grok models.
You own the entire lifecycle from discovery to launch, ensuring systems are robust, measurable, and maintainable by the client team after your engagement ends.
What you'll do
- Lead discovery calls to identify high-value use cases and define success metrics
- Design and ship production AI agents and workflows on live business processes
- Harden systems with monitoring, evals, and iterations based on real usage data
- Integrate AI tools into customer authentication, data, and delivery systems
- Measure outcomes like revenue impact, cost savings, or error rate reduction
- Collaborate with internal platform leaders and external stakeholder VPs
- Ensure customer teams can operate and maintain deployed systems independently
What you'll need
- 5+ years in software engineering, ML engineering, or data science
- Proficient in writing and reviewing production code in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proven track record of shipping scoped systems rather than just prototypes
- Experience building and debugging AI-native workflows or agents in production
- Strong background in production reliability, including metrics and incident response
- Ability to build end-to-end solutions covering frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Comfortable working in ambiguity without complete specifications
Nice to have
- 2+ years in customer-facing roles leading discovery conversations
- Deep experience with agents, tool-calling, and retrieval systems
- Background as a forward-deployed or solutions engineer embedded with clients
- Experience owning an AI product end-to-end as a founding engineer
