As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will bridge the gap between engineering and customers, translating real-world requirements into robust production systems and accelerating technology adoption.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with customers to define technical requirements and operational needs
- Build, deploy, and customize solutions within customer environments
- Develop integrations, APIs, automation scripts, and internal tools
- Convert customer feedback into actionable product and engineering tasks
- Troubleshoot complex issues across application and infrastructure layers
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams to enhance platform capabilities
- Manage projects from initial discovery through deployment and iteration
- Create reusable solutions scalable across multiple customer accounts
- Enhance deployment processes, documentation, and system observability
What you'll need
- At least five years of professional software engineering experience
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or similar programming languages
- Proven track record of building and deploying production software
- Strong skills in systems architecture, API design, and debugging
- Experience working directly with customers or cross-functional stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in ambiguous, fast-paced startup environments
- Excellent communication and technical problem-solving abilities
- High sense of ownership and ability to drive projects independently
Nice to have
- Background in AI/ML systems or infrastructure
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud infrastructure
- Previous work at a startup or scale-up company
- Deploying software into complex enterprise environments
- Familiarity with LLMs, model serving, or AI agents
- Experience building developer tooling or automation
