You will define the forward-deployed engineering function by embedding with customers to launch 1mind’s AI Superhumans. The work requires deep technical engagement with client web environments, ensuring reliable agent performance across various surfaces.
As the anchor engineer, you will scope, build, and iterate on deployments while creating playbooks for future scaling. This role bridges product engineering and customer success, translating business needs into robust technical solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead end-to-end deployments from scoping to production rollout in customer environments
- Debug HTML, DOM, and rendering issues across static, SSR, and CSR architectures
- Build UI automation using Playwright, Puppeteer, and Chrome DevTools Protocol
- Tune AI orchestration layers including prompts, retrieval, and agent configuration
- Manage web state security involving cookies, sessions, tokens, and storage
- Partner with customer engineering teams to translate needs into deployment plans
- Codify successful strategies into repeatable playbooks and internal tooling
- Provide feedback to product leadership based on deployment insights
What you'll need
- Significant hands-on front-end engineering experience with production web apps
- Strong fundamentals in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and ARIA accessibility
- Deep expertise in DOM and browser rendering pipelines for debugging
- Production experience with React, Vue, or Svelte frameworks
- Experience with UI automation tools like Playwright or Puppeteer
- Solid grasp of authentication, sessions, tokens, and web storage
- Working knowledge of AI/LLM systems, prompting, and orchestration
- Ability to ramp quickly on unfamiliar codebases in fast-paced settings
- Strong communication skills for leading technical customer discussions
- Based in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
Nice to have
- Experience in forward deployed or solutions engineering roles at AI firms
- Background in building browser extensions or Chrome ecosystem tools
- Cross-platform automation experience for desktop and mobile browsers
- Deeper experience with RAG pipelines and agent frameworks
- History of creating scalable processes for technical functions
