- Paris-based team
As the founding engineer for device fingerprinting, you will define the architecture and roadmap for this critical pillar of Prelude's fraud engine. You will build systems that collect and process hardware and network signals to identify fraudulent traffic in real time.
Reporting directly to leadership, you will combine security research, systems engineering, and machine learning to stay ahead of attackers. This role offers the chance to establish engineering standards and eventually grow a team around your work.
What you'll do
- Own the fingerprinting roadmap from signal collection to feature engineering pipelines
- Build persistent device identity systems resistant to spoofing and emulation
- Develop network intelligence signals including IP reputation and TLS fingerprinting
- Apply machine learning for anomaly detection and fraud ring clustering
- Integrate low-latency features into the real-time scoring engine
- Research attacker techniques and reverse-engineer anti-detect tooling
- Define engineering standards and data pipelines for future team scaling
What you'll need
- 5+ years in fraud detection, bot mitigation, or mobile security
- Deep knowledge of device fingerprinting and OS-level attestation
- Experience with network intelligence like JA3/JA4 and proxy classification
- Applied ML experience in security contexts from training to production
- Adversarial mindset familiar with emulators and anti-detect browsers
- Preference for robust designs over complex solutions
- Fluent English for international collaboration
Nice to have
- Familiarity with GSMA intelligence or telco APIs
- Proficiency in Go, Rust, or Python
- Experience with stream processing or OLAP stacks
- Knowledge of iOS or Android SDK internals
- Published research in fraud or bot detection
